A JOURNEY THROUGH
MOLECULAR INTERACTIONS
Research
We focus on the development of non-aqueous environments for biomolecules, with a particular emphasis on deep eutectic solvents (DESs). By leveraging these unique environments, we aim to unlock new biomolecular functionalities and create innovative biomaterials. Our work also extends to the field of sustainable chemistry, where we strive to develop eco-friendly alternatives that contribute to building a better, more sustainable world.

Dr. Adrian Sanchez-Fernandez
Adrian Sanchez-Fernandez leads descaffold as a Ramon y Cajal Fellow at the Center for Research in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Materials (CiQUS), USC.
His research interests range from the self-assembled systems to the behaviour of biomolecules in neoteric solvents.
The ultimate goal of his investigations is to develop the next generation of functional materials building upon a profound understanding of molecular interactions.
